Golf Umbrellas: Why Every Golfer Needs One

Any golfer knows that any given round of golf can and should last 4 hours or less. But they also know that any given round of golf can last over 5 hours, depending on course conditions and (mostly) the pace of the overall group playing the course that day. 4 or 5 hours is a good chunk of your day, and a lot can happen during an extended period like that. Ask a golfer if he has ever been stuck out in the rain and most all of them will tell you they have at one time or another. Now ask them if they were prepared for that rain. If they are honest, many of them will say they were not.

Next time you are at your favorite golf course, count the number of golf umbrellas you see. There will be many more golfers without a golf umbrella than there are with one. That is just the way it is, but it should not be. Golfers obsess over the latest gadgets that claim to be able to cure their slice, make their putts stay online, drive the ball 300 yards, etc. But they forget the simple things like divot repair tools, and of course, golf umbrellas.

The funny thing about the lack of golfers prepared for the rain is, they are willing to spend a couple of hundred dollars on the latest club, but don’t take the time to spend ten dollars for something they can just strap to their bag and always have at the ready. But there is a silver lining in this, and it is something friends and loved ones of golfers can take advantage of. Golf umbrellas make great gifts for you favorite golfer. Even better is the fact that personalized golf umbrellas are available so you can customize the umbrella for just that person rather than get them the same golf umbrella all their friends might have.

Most golfers are also fans of other sports. Get him or her a logo golf umbrella and let them show off their favorite team colors. Make sure when buying a golf umbrellas that it is, in fact, a golf umbrella and not just a “regular” umbrella. The golf variety is made to attach to golf bags, the canopy is generally wider, and the umbrella is light weight. Other than that it does what an umbrella is supposed to do; keep the rain off the golfer.

Make the golfer in your life remember you every time it rains. Whether they are on golf holidays in Portugal or playing at their local club, they will remember your gift! Give them a golf umbrella the next time you need a gift idea!
